There Will Always Be A King
Another weekend, another protest. The progressives have hit the streets again. It seems like someone, somewhere, is always protesting something. I'm glad people seem to have so much time on their hands. At least this time, our left-wing brothers and sisters were not protesting over a dead body—something they are prone to doing from time to time. The Left couldn't have cared less about George Floyd, until he was dead. Then they raised millions of dollars off his dead body. Ditto for Trayvon Martin, Laquan McDonald, Tamir Rice, and Michael Brown.
Instead, they protested against so-called "fascism." "No Kings," they cried. Activists across the country rallied for No Kings protests this past weekend. We've seen this performance before. Literally—about three months ago. They were protesting in opposition to President Donald Trump because they think he is a fascist dictator akin to Adolph Hitler. The bio on the No Kings X account reads, "No crowns. No thrones. No kings. Fighting GOP overreach, oligarchy & power grabs. Join the stand." Same song and dance we've been hearing about for a decade now from people who can't tell the difference between leadership and fascism.
I find this whole protesting Trump rigmarole to be equal parts tiresome and troubling. Tiresome because the hypocrisy has become nauseating. You'll notice that the same crowd who screams about Trump being a dictator still holds FDR in high regard. Franklin Delano Roosevelt died in the White House after twelve years as President. He was the reason the 22nd Amendment was enacted. Something tells me that if FDR were alive today, the "No Kings" crowd would be polishing his crown and making a sacrament of the ground he walked on.
The same progressives chanting "No Kings" would have certainly loved a King Obama. As much as he had the media in the palm of his hand, they would've written poems about him.
Waiting for Trump to eat a Snickers bar
So he can turn back into Obama or disappear like Roseanne Barr
The troubling part of this ordeal is that these people are not against kings. They just want their king in charge. That's why the protests are just political theater. The real genesis of the outrage is spiritual.
GOP congressman Chip Roy understands this. "The truth is, the Marxists, the radicals, and the Islamists the Democratic Party promoted this weekend, they cannot handle the truth," the Texas Representative said of the No Kings protests on Saturday. "And the truth is that there is a King, and that King is Jesus. And the President has been willing to say it. His administration has been willing to say it. And Charlie Kirk was willing to say it and he got killed for it."
I'm with Chip Roy. Jesus Christ is my King. This is why I understand that the protesters are not revolting against Trump. They are revolting against God. "No Kings" really means "No King of Kings." Human hearts need something to worship. Reject the crown of thorns; they'll worship themselves. Self-deification, the same sin committed in Sodom, Gomorrah, and Babel.
Idolatry and pride are the two most pervasive sins in the country. They were the first two sins ever committed, forcing The Most High God to banish Lucifer from the Heavens. Same thing is happening today. Idolatry and pride are blinding millions from seeing the light of God's glory. Many progressives—and, to be fair, some conservatives—are so concerned with freedom because they see it as an end to continue to worship themselves. But freedom is not an end in itself; it is a means to an end. The purpose of freedom is to pursue truth and holiness. You cannot do that while staring in a mirror.
This Washington, D.C., protester embodies the idolatry and pride so pervasive among the progressives.

Did you catch that toward the end? "Evil people have no place in my world." Her world, huh? She loves freedom not as a means to pursue truth and providence, but as a license to worship herself. Anybody who she disagrees with, including the most charitable voice in mainstream conservatism, is evil and must be murdered. Freedom without truth and knowledge of the divine is just anarchy. In man's quest to become his own god, everybody else becomes expendable.
Donald Trump, for all his ego and bombast, understands this. When addressing the press aboard Air Force One, he said, "I don't think there's anything that's going to get me into Heaven. I think I'm not Heaven bound. I'm not sure I'm going to be able make Heaven."

When asked about the No Kings protest, he gave his usual Trumpian response. "By the way, I'm not a King. I work my ass off to make our country great. That's all it is."
HOLY SH*T 🚨 President Trump just now officially responds to the ‘No Kings’ protest: "By the way, I'm not a King. I WORK my A** OFF to make our country great. That's all it is”

Mainstream Media will NEVER show you this

These comments are what make Trump a once-in-a-lifetime world leader. An astonishing bit of humility from a man accused incessantly of fascism. How many people in his position think they have the key to unlock the gates of Heaven? How many believe they are the savior, let alone needing one themselves?
Donald Trump understands that he can advocate for and enact every pro-America policy. It won't make a lick of difference if America continues to be a nation that abandons Jesus Christ. Americans can gather in numbers to protest a strawman fascist King, but can't fill a church to honor the one true King.
Yet, there's hope. Since the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, Bible sales are spiking, especially among young people. That's not a coincidence. The youth are hungry for something true, something permanent, something sacred. They realize they've been lied to. Money, sexual pleasure, or elected politics cannot fill the God-shaped hole in their souls.
Progressives can bulldoze statues and burn flags all they want. But be careful: first of all, it's illegal now and you'll probably go to jail, but, more importantly, it is a temper tantrum against God. You cannot vote or protest God out of existence.
For all of my jeering against the Left sometimes, I do not hate them. Jesus died for them the same way he died for me. But I do pity them. I grieve for them. As Jesus said on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
We all will worship a King. The question is, will we worship the one in the mirror or the one up above?
