There are issues us Blacks are (or should be) fully aware of, but perhaps we cannot see the forest for the trees. Sometimes it takes an outsider to point out the obvious to us. Example number one is Piers Morgan.

Why is there so much hysteria among women these days? It is as if they are going haywire for the public to see. To be fair, men are acting up, too, but we always act up. That’s kind of what we do. Maybe it’s Jupiter retrograde. Or, what if it is something bigger?

American politics has given us plenty of “WTF?” moments over the years. President Trump’s laundry list of ill-timed and ill-researched remarks defies comprehension. Former House of Representatives member Todd Akin once said “Legitimate rape does not cause pregnancy”.

The Twitter world is amusing itself as #PresidentPlump and #PlumpTrump is trending, but the nation’s obesity rate hovers over 42%. Furthermore, 18% of Americans are considered “severely obese”.

Mask-wearing has become the new normal in America. The country, in a matter of weeks, has had to make a hard pivot from masks being discouraged to mandatory. Studies have shown that men are less likely to wear any facial coverings because they feel overly optimistic about the virus not affecting them.

Lizzo, and many others like her, gets pulled into the Twitter-fueled ideology that she must speak out against injustice. She is trying to stand up for the Black culture while she sings and dances for (and gets paid by) the White culture.
