Conor McGregor Is The Latest ANPLNP Victim
Conor McGregor—former UFC champion, proud Irishman, and whiskey salesman—released a song in 2017 called "I Am Lion." Performed by UK artist James Poole, the song served as a pre-fight anthem in prelude to his exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather. Not a bad song, either.
McGregor has publicly professed a Christian faith, so one could assume the song was inspired by the Lion of Judah mentioned in Scripture. It could be an acknowledgment of the lion that's in Ireland's Coat of Arms. Or he could have been inspired by watching a TikTok of a lion eating a hyena.
In any case, given the recent allegations leveled at him, his new catchphrase should be "Am I Lion?"
McGregor is alleged to have sent nude photos to rapper Azealia Banks, who released them online earlier this month, accusing him of sexual harassment. Of course she did. Fame is a drug that Banks is addicted to and will do anything in her power to keep the supply coming. I feel a new single dropping from Azealia any day now.
Where the situation gets sticky for Conor is that he has been engaged to the mother of his four children since 2020. Why would an engaged man with four kids jeopardize his family, his Christian image, and his soul with a Hip-Hop harlot? You can sum it up in one secular, crass, degenerate phrase: Ain't no p***y like new p***y.
I heard this phrase a lot growing up. Men, who claim to be happily married, have extramarital affairs because ANPLNP. I've seen men with beautiful—and I mean beautiful wives or girlfriends—sleep around because ANPLNP. Men, who have been divorced because their previous wife caught them cheating, get remarried and cheat again because ANPLNP.
At face value, the phrase is about novelty. It's about the thrill, the dopamine hit of something new. But when you're constantly chasing orgasms, new turns into disposable real quick. Like a drug addict, the man is in constant pursuit of the next toe-curling experience. Destroyed your family life? That's okay, I got my hit. Jeopardized your career? That's okay, I got my hit. Left a trail of shattered souls behind you? Not my problem, I got mine. Afterwards, feelings of emptiness, introspection, and regret start to set in. The secular world calls this "post-nut clarity." It's really just guilt for having sex outside of God's design.
ANPLNP is not just a vulgar phrase. It is a rotten fruit from the tree of sexual liberation. First, the serpent told men that seeking a monogamous relationship was a fool's errand. Then, he whispered to the ladies, "Marriage is just like slavery." Then, he got on a megaphone and screamed, "Hey, everybody!! It's just sex. You deserve to be happy, don't you?" The devil is a liar.
Sexual liberation has convinced people to adopt a consumeristic mindset in the dating arena. ANPLNP. Replace p***y with phone, and the same concept applies. Men and women treat one another like Amazon products. The latest version of the iPhone came out? A couple of clicks, and next-day delivery to your doorstep. It's the same process in modern dating: men swipe right on Tinder, fly the woman in for a sex-filled weekend, then fly her back home.
When we treat other humans as disposable objects in relationships, that bleeds over into other areas of public life. The in vitro fertilization (IVF) industry treats people like products. People can open a catalog and decide what man they want sperm from, what woman they want eggs from, and what woman's womb they wish to rent for nine months.
Let's go a cut deeper.
Treating humans as commodities to be bought and traded for is the same frame of mind needed to be a slave owner. People, particularly black people, talk endlessly about American and European chattel slavery while adopting the same ideological principles.
Do I expect Conor McGregor to be aware of or have given deep thought to these issues? Not really. He's a wealthy prizefighter, not a theologian. But the rest of us should be thinking about these issues. Because our communities are seeing the results of sexual immorality. Fatherlessness, broken homes, STDs, rampant crime and violence. All products of a sexually-degenerate culture.
I'm not going to be a finger-pointing hypocrite here. I have no idea what it's like to be world famous, physically gifted, with tens of millions of dollars, and access to women willing to do any sexual act imaginable. But I am a man living in a fallen world. I am a man who has spent many days and nights trapped in the lion's den of my own sexual immorality. I, too, have a trail of shattered souls in my wake.
The way forward for me was the Lion of Judah. Jesus Christ.
God-fearing men don't treat women like iPhones, don't treat sex like it's meaningless, and don't let their sexual desires run their lives. ANPLNP is not some edgy, funny phrase you hear in the men's locker room. It's a cry for help. It's the mantra of a society that will go the way of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Conor McGregor is facing the consequences of an ANPLNP culture. Whether he course corrects is between him and the Creator. But McGregor's behavior is far from masculine. It's not the behavior of a Christ-like lion. It's the behavior of a sheep searching for its shepherd.
