How An Unholy Alliance Caused The Catastrophe In East Palestine

You can call me a conspiracy theorist if you want. I don't mind. Chances are I'll be proven correct in a few months.

I like to think of myself as an observer rather than a conspiracy theorist. Saying that some of the most influential people in American media have last names like Murdoch, Iger, Shapiro, Spielberg, Seinfield, Hartenstein, and Weinstein is just an observation. CEOs of fast-food chains, tobacco companies, and smartphone companies significantly limiting or entirely prohibiting their children from consuming the products they profit from is just an observation. So here is another observation.

The word Palestine means "of or pertaining to the Holy Land". The biblical term is derived from Philistia, an ancient eastern Mediterranean region near modern-day Egypt and Tel Aviv. It was inhabited by a group of people called the Philistines, who were known for their advanced technology, particularly in ironworking. They were also a tribe of warmongerers who imposed their might via a strong militaristic culture.

So, a catastrophic toxic chemical disaster that could potentially kill thousands of people nearby and millions more because of the contamination of the Ohio River happens in a town whose name comes from the term Holy Land?

I am not saying the recent events in East Palestine, OH were coordinated or premeditated. Although, weirdly, the Netflix movie White Noise played out this exact scenario in the exact same location. The white working-class hating, Trump-hating national media has offered insipid coverage of the incident in the white, working-class, Trump-voting district. Just observing.

I also observed that last month the East Palestine Fire Department held a voluntary sign-up event for a health-monitoring device called MyID. It is a medical device that can digitally track a person's health, such as allergies, breathing issues, etc., using QR codes that can be scanned from a smartphone.

As our culture gets further away from biblical principles, technology is gaining a stronger foothold. It's not a coincidence. Technology is a tool to expand man's capabilities. Forks, knives, cars, telescopes, boxing gloves, guns, and politics are not to be idolized or worshipped. They are tools to help us live more fruitful lives and should be handled with great care and moral responsibility.

Advanced technology and an immoral culture cannot coexist. The technology will adopt the same corrupt nature as the people designing it. It is why Bing's AI robot is threatening users. It's why young men can sit in front of a screen and pleasure themselves with AI-customized porn.

We do not prioritize morals over machines.

Under this context, you can understand the medical travesty of the COVID experimental jabs much better. mRNA technology, same as everything else science and pharmaceutical related, is marketed through a humanitarian lens. Most of the players involved are well-intentioned. But, when profit becomes the idol and not The Most High God, people become coerced into taking an unnecessary shot in the arm.

Many conservatives and Christians neglect this truth when engaging in the gun debate. The left believes the abolishment of arms will make the country safer. The right says an armed society is a polite and safer society. Both sides get it wrong. A God-fearing society is the remedy to less gun violence. (Although more guns and fewer restrictions will help.)

I'm using the awful events in East Palestine to make a larger point about embracing our creator over the creators of things. Being able to seamlessly communicate with people all around the world, having any information at your fingertips, or ordering anything your heart desires are all practices of vanity without the proper moral framework.

We used to understand that God watches over us. The Most High looking at us and judging our sins was enough to keep us in check. Today, America increasingly does not care about our Lord and Savior or the tenets of the Bible. Humanity always needs someone or something to look over it. We are natural sinners. Don't believe me? Put a couple of toddlers in a room unsupervised and see what happens. They would probably kill one another. We are implicitly choosing to be looked over by a technocracy, a league of bureaucrats who implement invasive hi-tech measures to govern and invade the citizenry's privacy. Joe Biden and Barack Obama are just as guilty as George W. Bush and the litany of liberalized Republicans.

I'm not making any assumptions or generalizations about the East Palestine residents. Obviously, they couldn't predict such an ominous event. But, they caved to the bureaucratic technocracy. Catastrophes like this will continue in intensity regardless of how technologically advanced we become. An app, a phone, a jab, a camera, a QR device will not save you better than you can. Even better, they will not save you better than the Bible can.

Technology cannot cure sin.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe artificial intelligence will save humanity from killing itself. I hope I'll be proven wrong about that.
