Austin Metcalf, Karmelo Anthony, and America's Heirlooms of Hate
Racial disharmony is the great American inheritance. We didn't earn it. We didn't ask for it. But we have carried it from generation to generation like a family heirloom because nobody has the courage to throw it in the trash. The Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s tried to polish it. Black Lives Matter doused it in gasoline. Today, we live in a society that exacerbates the problem and offers no real solutions.
The real solution to racial disharmony won't be told on CNN, FOX, MSNBC, TikTok, or X. Legislation, protests, or hashtags won't get us closer to the solution. The next viral "activist" sure as hell won't preach the solution. The answer is found in a book that many have stopped reading, and many more have stopped taking to heart—The Bible.
April 2, the year of our Lord 2025. Frisco, Texas. 17-year-old Austin Metcalf—star athlete, great student, beloved son—bleeds out at a track meet at Memorial High School. His twin brother cradles him in his last moments after a fatal knife attack from another teenager. 17-year-old Karmelo Anthony fled the scene and was later arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
This horrific crime has been made worse because of the aftermath. The grieving Metcalf family, who have been thrust into the national spotlight, have been smeared, harassed, and targeted by people who are more invested in narratives than justice.
Enter Dominique Alexander, the latest in an assembly line of ambulance-chasing chaos merchants. Alexander is a convicted felon-turned-activist who has been advising Karmelo Anthony's family.
On X (formerly Twitter), he states, "For the last 11 years, I have had the honor of building the Next Generation Action Network from a grassroots movement to one of North Texas' leading human and civil rights organizations." He continues, "I'm always open to fair criticism and real conversation — but understand this: Advocacy is not lawyering. Advocacy is not chasing attention. Advocacy is standing in the gap when the weight is too heavy for impacted families to carry alone."
That sounds nice and all, but his public defense of the accused killer and the vilification of the victim's family, specifically the father, Jeff Metcalf, has been nothing short of grotesque. Alexander and many of his supporters have turned a tragic murder story into a full-blown racial narrative. But in the eyes of those more invested in the narrative—the secular, the immoral, the racial idolaters—of course, the white Metcalf family should be treated as aggressors. Of course, the black Anthony family are the real victims. Because the white man is always evil, and the black man is always a victim of the evil white man.
Here's more evidence that Dominique Alexander is an agent of chaos. Since he began advocating for the Anthony family, the Metcalf home has been swatted twice. For those unfamiliar, swatting is the act of making a false emergency call to provoke a heavily armed police response. Someone will call the police to a specific address, alleging an active shooter or a hostage situation. SWAT officers arrive on high alert. Guns drawn. Expecting the worst. Swatting is used to terrify and bully people into submission. I am not claiming that Alexander was responsible for these calls, but it is concerning that they occurred after his involvement.
As a ripple effect, the Anthony family reportedly had to move to an undisclosed location after being harassed.
Alexander is not alone in weaponizing grievance for influence. On the other side of the racial and political divide stands Jake Lang. Lang is a former political prisoner of the January 6 hoax. He was accused of assaulting police officers and was imprisoned for over four years. He was pardoned by President Donald Trump earlier this year. While in prison, Lang organized a nationwide militia network called the North American Patriot and Liberty Militia (NAPALM). He reportedly used encrypted messaging platforms to coordinate activities across the country.
Edward Jacob Lang fell victim to the same racial identity idolatry that many on the Left have fallen victim to. According to Kash Kelly, another J6 prisoner, Lang tapped into his Jewish identity while in prison.

Lang coordinated a "Protect White Americans" protest in Frisco, Texas on April 19. He is planning another protest next month in front of FCI Big Spring, the Texas prison where Derek Chauvin is serving his sentence. Lang is also running for the vacant Florida Senate seat vacated by Marco Rubio.
Jake Lang is the white version of Dominique Alexander. Both are fruits from the Al Sharpton tree of racial grievance. Yes, he reads The Bible. Yes, he claims a Christian identity. But he is as much of a race huckster as the people he demonizes. He does not want to end racial disharmony; he wants to become a profiteer from it.
If America truly wants to address racial disharmony, it must start in the home.
Black Americans do not suffer from a lack of opportunities. They suffer from a lack of strong fathers. The collapse of the nuclear family is the real systemic injustice. It started in the 1960s with the rejection of The Moynihan Report. Daniel Patrick Moynihan suggested black Americans would be better off prioritizing the family unit independent of the federal government. Not only did America reject the Moynihan Report, it went in the complete opposite direction. Single-parent households were financially incentivized. Today, over 70% of black children are born into households with only one parent. And there is a laundry list of reasons why children of any color in single-parent homes are less successful than their two-parent counterparts. This is not sustainable. This is not biblical. And it is not the result of racism. It's the result of rebellion against God's design.
White Americans are increasingly becoming the targets of racial attacks and smear campaigns, from Hollywood movies to politicians using their voices to tear down white men to significant historical figures being labeled as white supremacists. More white guys are feeding into the racial victimhood narrative. The answer, however, is not doing the inverse of what Leftists do—blame everything on the black man. This, too, is not sustainable. This is also not biblical. It is rebellion against God's design in another form.
God tells us in Scripture that strong communities start with strong families. Strong families start with strong men. Strong men fear God. Strong men who fear God seek repentance.
Only genuine repentance can change this country for the better. Not the hollow, fake humble type of repentance. The kind that invites God to search our hearts so we can confront our own biases. The kind that forces us to realize that we have been part of the problem and we need to course correct.
Part of that repentance is to stop looking for celebrities and activists to speak for us. Many of them do not care about the communities we live in. Most of them are not leaders. They are followers in blind pursuit of attention because attention is currency. True repentance demands that we turn off the idiot boxes, ignore the social media algorithms, and start connecting with our families, friends, and communities on a deeper level.
Here's a bit of truth America needs to hear. If we keep clinging to grievance as our core identity, we will be judged harsher than Sodom and Gomorrah. And make no mistake—God didn't just wipe out those cities for sexual perversion. He judged them for their pride, their gluttony, their indifference to the suffering of others, and their bold refusal to humble themselves. They were arrogant, overfed, and idle while injustice festered—and God obliterated them. Our modern culture has become so pretentious, so voracious, so apathetic that I'd be surprised if God didn't destroy us!
Activism without repentance is hogwash. Let me be more blunt: activism without repentance is bullshit. Real, biblical truth will offend both the righteous and the unrighteous. Real repentance will have you on your knees, crying out to God for mercy. That's what this country needs.
So the next time a senseless murder happens or a swatting call terrorizes a family, don't look to Dominique Alexander, Jake Lang, Ben Crump, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, or the rest of the racial grievance industry for answers. Open your Bible. Study God's Word. Take the Word to heart and live like you believe it.
Jesus can heal our racial disharmony. If we let him.
