After watching the Netflix documentary The Social Dilemma, I have come to realize that as a society our social media habits are WAY worse than I thought. Unless we make some serious changes Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc., will destroy our civilization as we know it.

The NFL along with Jay-Z and Roc Nation have announced that next year’s Super Bowl halftime show will have a Black Executive Producer. Jesse Collins will executive produce the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show next year in Tampa, FL. He is a 58-year-old Toronto native who has been the brainchild behind many of the shows in the BET archives.

Expectation feeds frustration. If you watched last night’s presidential debate hoping for a civilized back-and-forth on the issues that matter to you, or to be completely swayed into changing your vote, or even hoping for a fair fight, then you deserve all of the negative emotions you are feeling today. It comes as no surprise that since Trump’s presidential victory, many other non-politicians who grace television screens have their names thrown into the discussion for a POTUS run. It does make for great PR. Dwayne Johnson is one of those names.

Loyalty is often touted as an ethical superior attribute one must possess. In some cases it is. A journalist should always be loyal to the truth. Biased journalism gives the elites more power and is a disservice to the people.

When Hip-Hop mogul 50 Cent released his controversial single “How To Rob” in 1999, it turned the industry inside out. A newcomer to the game, he braggartly namedropped 48 high-profile musicians and celebrities, poking fun at them in a bully-in-a-grade-school-cafeteria type of manner.

America has been trying to urge young people to vote for generations, with not-so-encouraging results. Since the ratification of the 26th Amendment, which lowered the voting age in America from 21 to 18, young adults ages 18-29 have had the lowest turnout of any other age group.

We are at the intersection of two movements in America: race and feminism. Each movement consists of its own victim ideology and figureheads.
