It's Way Bigger Than The Tates
If the Florida investigation on Andrew and Tristan Tate finds any wrongdoing, they should be arrested and flown back to Romania.
This shouldn't be that controversial of a statement, but the Tate brothers' fandom has reached absurd heights.
In the past, I have expressed my disdain for the Tate brothers. Their secular sermons about gaudy material wealth and sexual conquests are a detriment to young boys and impressionable men. In a culture ravaged by feminism, males need noble, righteous men to look up to—not pimps masquerading as self-help gurus.
But we'll put my issues with the Tates aside for now.
In December 2022, the Tates were arrested in Romania and charged with organized crime, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and rape. The case is still unfolding, and new information suggests that their organized crime ring extends into the U.K. and U.S. Recently, their travel restrictions have been lifted. However, they must return to Romania when summoned for court appearances.
“If Florida’s investigation finds evidence of criminality, the Tates should be put in handcuffs and extradited back to Romania.”
Last month, outside the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Andrew, the more outspoken Tate, told the press he and his brother are innocent and misunderstood. Last week, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the state was opening a criminal investigation into the duo. Uthmeier lambasted the Tates in a recent press conference.
Do I believe this is purely about protecting females? Of course not. Although, Uthmeier is aggressively attacking child pornography and sexual predators in his state. This ordeal is mostly about justice and geopolitics.
Enforcing the law should always be a priority, but in this scenario, there are some extra incentives: reinforcing America's relationship with an important international ally.
Romania enhances American interests in Eastern Europe. The country is a strategic chokepoint along the Black Sea. The two NATO countries signed the Roadmap for Defense Cooperation (2020-2030) in October 2020. It cemented a ten-year partnership where the United States and Romania work together to secure the flow of chemical and nuclear weapons across the Black Sea. China, America's number-one antagonist on the world stage, has expanded its influence in the Black Sea region. Russia has dominated the area for generations, but that grip has been slipping because of the conflict in Ukraine, which shares a border with Romania.
Beyond international security concerns, Romania is becoming a dynamic market for American businesses. The Eastern European market is a well-educated, tech-savvy workforce. There are plenty of future opportunities for business in energy and tech. Yes, America should prioritize its own economic future first, but there's no reason a nation like Romania can't benefit as well.
Romania, like America, has deep Christian roots and could benefit from the Trump Administration, which has a heavy Christian influence. It is essential to help Christian allies in an area historically hostile to the religion. Nearly 74% of Romanians identify as Christian. Many Christian nations face persecution, political instability, or economic hardship. The United States supporting Christian countries like Romania fosters peace, stability, goodwill, and cooperation in the immediate and long-term future.
Just because Romania is a Christian nation does not mean it is immune to corruption. This is evident in the banning of Călin Georgescu from the Romanian presidential election. Georgescu, a prominent Romanian politician, is labeled a far-right Trumpian figure by many in the media. He is under criminal investigation for, we'll call it, dubious accusations.
Georgescu's ouster from the election was met with protests from Romanian citizens.
Romania's government shows clear signs of corruption. This, however, does not negate the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with the country, particularly in times of high tension, high stakes, and warmongering world leaders. A stable Romania benefits American strategic interests, and ensuring justice in the Tate saga—if warranted—aligns with that goal.
The primary focus should be on maintaining the integrity of American ethics rather than simply accommodating an ally. If Florida's investigation determines that Andrew and Tristan were involved in any wrongdoing, it is in our best interest that they be held accountable. Failing to do so could lead to unnecessary diplomatic tensions in an already complex situation.
Many on America's political right have defended the Tates simply because they have been targeted by the establishment, or "the matrix," as Andrew Tate likes to say. I get it. The matrix is real, and cultural disruptors are often targeted and made an example of. But that doesn't mean every high-profile figure accused of wrongdoing is a martyr. The Tates are not innocent simply because the establishment dislikes them. If they broke the law and the penal system finds them guilty, they should pay their debt to society.
America must maintain its credibility. If Florida's investigation finds evidence of criminality, the Tates should be put in handcuffs and extradited back to Romania. Doing otherwise would signal weakness and unrighteousness at home and abroad.
All of those rushing to Andrew and Tristan's defense should remember they put themselves in this situation.
