Mexico, Afghanistan, and the Declining Power of the Black Vote

Recently, YouTuber Vaush and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk debated various issues on the Timcast IRL podcast. It was a spirited and very informative debate between a democratic socialist and a conservative. I encourage everyone to watch or listen to it at their earliest convenience.

The first issue debated was about mandatory vaccinations. Charlie Kirk came out firing with an astute point, "...some people on the left, I never want to hear about the discussion of voter ID ever again. Now you can force people to identify their medical history to try to get into a restaurant in New York City."

Some black Democrat voters have no qualms about showing proof of vaccination status or showing ID to get into a casino, buy liquor, rent a car, or purchase airplane tickets. But when it comes to showing ID to vote, that's racist.

Voter ID laws are not racist. I repeat, voter ID laws are NOT racist.

Racism is being used as a smokescreen to usher in new voter blocks that the Democrat politicians can exploit.

Since 1964, the percentage of black Americans who voted for a Democrat POTUS candidate never dipped below 82%. 

Per the Brookings Institute, a left-leaning research and think tank outlet, the black vote helped swing several battleground states in favor of Biden in the 2020 Presidential Election. Over half of all the Democrat votes coming out of Georgia were from black residents, as Georgia turned blue for the first time since 1992.

Blacks played a big part in getting Biden into the White House. So what did blacks get in return? A meaningless federal holiday that was already on the books as a day of recognition. Republicans sponsored a joint resolution commemorating "Juneteenth Independence Day" in 1997. Blacks also received an economy hit with hyperinflation that negatively impacts them the hardest.

Democrats have the black vote under lock and key. Now, they are turning their attention towards other voting demographics to ensure success in future elections.

The Biden Administration has thoroughly mismanaged the southern border. They reversed the Trump Administration's Remain in Mexico policy and, as a result, border crossings are at 20-year highs. Many people right of center believe this was a deliberate effort by Biden to appease his progressive support base. Progressives such as Mexican labor union activist Eliseo Medina have said that they need to get on the side of immigrants to "expand and solidify the progressive coalition for the future." In other words, side with immigrants so they will vote Democrat.

A surge of Latino voters shifted towards Trump in the 2020 Election. Democrats still held the advantage, but by slimmer margins than expected. For example, the percentage of Latinas voting Democrat over Republican in Florida was 53% to 45%. Similarly, Latinos was 51% to 48% Democrat. Trump saw an increase in Latino support in 10 states, including in the reliably blue state of New York. As a result, Democrats are trying to usher in a wave of new Latino voters who will vote blue and tilt the scales heavily in their favor.

The Taliban takeover in Afghanistan will also be exploited by Democrat politicians for votes. Refugees will flee to countries worldwide, some landing here in the United States. Despite some obstacles, such as steep increases in naturalization fees, these refugees will be able to vote in 2024. Muslim Americans overwhelmingly vote Democrat.

Muslim Americans felt ostracized by Republicans’ Islamophobia after 9/11. Many of the war-mongering Republicans of the 1990s and early 2000s were especially staunch against Muslim immigration into the US. To this day, Muslim Americans have great disdain for the George W. Bush Administration. Moreover, the media did not make things better when covering President Trump's alleged "Muslim Ban."

As more voter blocks worldwide embark onto US soil, and many will vote Democrat, where does that leave blacks in the future?

It is obvious the Democrat elite take the black vote for granted. Generally speaking, Democrats do not favor school choice, which would be a boon for black families. Blue states and cities have been the most vocal in supporting defunding the police movements, which harm blacks the most. In addition, Democrats only discuss reparations when it is politically expedient for them to do so.

Now is the time for black Americans to have a long look in the mirror and reassess our voting habits. We can no longer blindly vote for one party and receive nothing in return. We need to ditch the mantra that to be black, we have to vote Democrat. Black Americans are at a political fork in the road.

It's time for blacks to take politics much more seriously.
