Tiffany Henyard: The Pharaoh In the New House of Bondage

If you know anything about Illinois politics, then the accusations facing the village of Dolton Mayor Tiffany Henyard are not surprising. Likewise, if you know anything about black Americans and their obsession with Egypt, then you understand how Henyard got into power.

Some call Tiffany Henyard the "City Girl Mayor", a reference to the Hip-Hop group City Girls. Others call her "The Dolton Dictator". I am calling Henyard "The Pharaoh With The New Weave."

The embattled Mayor of Dolton, a suburb about twenty-two miles south of Chicago, has attained a track record as infamous as the Illinois politicians who preceded her. Most notably, former Governor Rod Blagojevich solicited bribes to fill Barack Obama's vacant Senate seat in 2009. Former Governor George Ryan was sentenced to six and a half years for racketeering. Current Governor J.B. Pritzker is under federal criminal investigation for tax evasion. Secretary of State Paul Powell received political bribes in the millions of dollars. The then-CEO of Chicago Public Schools, Barbara Byrd-Bennett, took $23 million in illegal payments and was sentenced to over seven years in prison. There's Isaac Carothers, Orville Hodge, Dennis Hastert, Constance Howard. The list goes on.

Add Tiffany Henyard to the list. The Pharaoh With The New Weave is accused of embezzlement, sexual assault, using taxpayer dollars to fund lavish personal trips, and withholding building permits and business licenses from people who did not donate to her campaign. She has also run Dolton, which is already economically stressed, into a $2 million deficit.

According to the Department of Justice, Chicago is the most corrupt metropolitan area in America, and Illinois is the second most corrupt state.

Corruption is to Illinois as weave is to Tiffany Henyard.

Weave (hair extensions) and wigs are staples among black females. According to research conducted by Mintel, a consumer market intelligence agency, approximately 50-60% of black women wear wigs or hair extensions.

This trend was popularized in Ancient Egypt, where Egyptians cut off all or most of their hair. First, it was a rebuke to The Most High God, who commanded them not to (Leviticus 19:27). Second, it was a way to combat head lice. Men and women in the elite often wore wigs as a status symbol. They wore elaborate, colorful wigs to demonstrate their power and authority over others.

In high society, appearances are damn near everything, and for some, hair extensions and wigs are a big part of that. In some instances, just looking the part gets you a long way.

Sounds a lot like the bourgeoisie wannabe-elite black women who dominate the community today. Sounds a lot like Tiffany Henyard. She used her feminine wiles, accentuated by her weave, to dominate the Dolton Mayoral race in 2021. She defeated her opponent, Ronnie Burge, with 82% of the vote.

There were red flags signaling that Henyard would be a corrupt politician. Three months before the 2021 election, she ran an illegal gas giveaway, hoping to buy votes from patrons. In 2019, she ignored a massive mold problem in one of her rental homes, forcing the tenant and her children to move out. Voters in Dolton ignored it all because they wanted their first female Mayor. More specifically, their first black female Mayor. Now, they are reaping the consequences much like the Israelites did when they ignored God's word and suffered in Egypt, the house of bondage.

For nearly forty years, black Americans have been obsessed with Egypt and Africa. We can thank Jesse Jackson, Jr. for that. When Jackson ran for President in 1988, he and a group of black leaders announced that black Americans would like to be called "African-Americans."

″Just as we were called colored, but were not that, and then Negro, but not that, to be called black is just as baseless,″ Jackson proclaimed at a December news conference. ″To be called African-Americans has cultural integrity. It puts us in our proper historical context. Every ethnic group in this country has a reference to some land base, some historical cultural base. African-Americans have hit that level of cultural maturity."

So Jackson and his cohorts took it upon themselves to speak for all black Americans. Got it.

This baseless and misguided thinking still continues to this day. The term "African-American" may not be as widely used today as "Black" (which is a heresy itself), but every June 19th, African-themed Juneteenth clothing can be seen everywhere. Every Halloween, black women dress up as Cleopatra. There are thousands of black Americans moving to Africa, thinking it is their homeland.

News flash! All black people are not from Africa. That will put me at odds with many of my black peers, but it's the truth. Furthermore, "Egypt" appears 611 times in The Bible, most with negative connotations. The worst atrocities in the Book of Genesis happened in Egypt. It's why God freed us from captivity in Egypt and prescribed us The Ten Commandments.

As long as misguided thinking is allowed to permeate, blacks will continue to be in bondage, no matter where they are. Egypt, Ghana, America, Dolton. The residents of Dolton are now employing former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot to investigate Tiffany Henyard. Lightfoot believes she is oppressed because of who she chooses to sleep with. She also believes blacks are oppressed by white people (except the white woman she chooses to sleep with). Do you think she is going to snitch on her black comrade?

Here's what will probably happen: Lightfoot's "investigation" finds no wrongdoing on Henyard's part. Tiffany will not serve jail time. She will be voted out in the next election. The people of Dolton will elect another Mayor with weave, dangles free giveaways, or claims to represent an "oppressed" minority group. Corruption continues to run rampant in Dolton. I haven't seen anything to suggest this won't be the case.

Black Americans love their pharaohs.
